Also known as a rigid axle or solid axle, this part is located in the rear suspension area of a vehicle, and connects the rear wheels on vehicles equipped with dependent suspensions.

Similar to a lower control arm, the function of the rear control arm is the support the vehicle’s balance and control movement of the rear wheels.
